General Manager

We are looking to fill this position immediately.

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of Sharp Things OKC. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies as well as ordering products and inventory management. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive.

Primary job duties would be managing employees, inventory, and customers – and in general, doing anything the business needs to be successful. Potential quarterly profit share bonuses are available depending on the performance of the business, plus other potential benefits will be made available as we scale the business and as makes sense. Our business follows an online/brick-and-mortar business model, meaning we have an online presence and a local presence in our community.

Applicants should have 2-years of retail experience, nominal computer skills, and experience working with an inventory management system and/or CRM. Management experience is a plus. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, taking initiative to complete required tasks for the business to operate, requiring little to no direction from upper management. Our primary goal is to find someone that shares in our culture and values and continued career growth and personal development; moreover, someone with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and has apparent leadership skills.

Sign-on bonus up to $1000 is available for qualified prospects and will vary depending on experience and performance. This bonus is paid out after 90 days has been completed and the amount and qualification is left to the discretion of upper management. Starting pay range is $12 to $16 per hour, and is also dependent on experience and demonstrated skills. Growth opportunities are available and are only limited by one’s own drive and desire. Skills

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
  • Basic WooCommerce website functions
  • Experience in planning, budgeting & inventory control
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, website, inventory control, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
