The Hogue Knives Deka® model 24279 is a precision-engineered everyday carry folding knife that blends refined materials, purposeful design and American craftsmanship. With its 3.25-inch CPM 20CV steel blade and lightweight sub-3-ounce package, this model strikes a balance between performance and portability ideal for daily use, EDC deployment or tactical readiness. At the heart of the design lies a clip-point blade crafted from CPM 20CV stainless steel—renowned for excellent edge retention, wear resistance and corrosion performance in high-end folders. The steel undergoes cryogenic heat treatment and is then stone-tumbled for a low-glare, rugged finish. The blade thickness of 0.094″ and flat grind combine to give a strong yet efficient cutting geometry. The handle assembly features solid black G-10 scales with a crosshatch textured finish for secure grip under both light and more demanding conditions. The ambidextrous design includes dual thumb stud blade opening and a reversible deep-carry pocket clip (tip-up carry, right or left hand). The manual ABLE Lock® (Ambidextrous Bar Lock Enhanced) mechanism provides positive, secure blade lock-up and smooth release tailored for either hand.
