Engineered for aggressive performance and uncompromising durability, the TOPS Back Bite (Model # TPBBITE01, also known in some markets as “BKBT-01”) is a fixed-blade tactical/combat knife designed by Colin Despins to combine unique edge geometry with rugged construction. Crafted in the USA, this knife delivers strike, trap, attack, and defense capabilities in one tool. The Back Bite features a dramatic, forward-and-reverse striking design. Its blade includes a concave strike face edge on one side and a Wharncliffe-style back edge, creating the ability to inflict damage both “forward” and “back.” The blade point is flat (chisel-style), and the bottom and top edges are sharpened to give added utility during defensive work. The handle consists of gray linen micarta onlays over its one-piece full tang 1095 carbon steel body, offering solid grip even under adverse conditions. It is protected by a black traction coating on the blade, enhancing resistance to corrosion and glare. A custom black Kydex sheath is included, fitted with a rotating spring-steel clip for secure carry. The knife package also ships with a TOPS emergency whistle, attached via a black beaded chain lanyard to the sheath.
